More than 100 events will showcase Victoria’s cutting-edge designers front and centre at the 2024 Melbourne Fashion Festival, with a blockbuster 15-day program celebrating local, sustainable and First Nations designers, thanks to support from the Allan Labor Government.

Minister for Creative Industries Colin Brooks today joined Melbourne Fashion Festival CEO Caroline Ralphsmith to reveal the details of Australia’s largest consumer fashion event which will run from 24 February – 9 March next year - attracting fashion-lovers from near and far and bringing more visitors into the city.

The Festival’s renown Premium Runway events will marvel audiences for another year, featuring over 80 designers across 12 shows at the official home of the event in the heart of Melbourne, the Royal Exhibition Building.

Opening night will kick off with a showcase of contemporary Australian designers including Victorian fashion leaders Martin Grant, Ngali and Viktoria+Woods.

The programme will include a dedicated sustainability runway showcasing designers seeking to minimise their impact on the environment, including Nobody Denim and Yanggurdi.

The Industry Development Program will also return to elevate the next generation of Australian fashion talent and the National Graduate Showcase will present the top 10 graduate designers, hand-picked from Australia’s leading fashion design institutions.

A First Nations runway will celebrate emerging and leading First Nations designers including Delvene Cockatoo-Collins, Galli, House of Darwin, Lillardia Briggs-Houston, Soild Ochre, Take Pride Movement, and Miimi and Jinda.
