This weekend marks the start of the Victorian snow season and the forecast over the coming days will be welcomed by those looking to hit the slopes.
The 2015 winter season was a successful one for Victoria’s alpine resorts, with over 763,000 visitors and 1,387,000 visitor days.
Victoria’s six alpine resorts make a vital contribution to the state’s regional economy, creating almost 6000 regional jobs each year.
While today marks the beginning of the snow season, Victoria’s alpine resorts are very much year-round destinations.
Biking, 4WD adventures, trail running, music festivals and food and wine events are attracting significant visitor numbers to all resorts in the green season.
This weekend, a variety of activities are on offer at each of the Victorian alpine resorts, regardless of snow cover.
Resort websites provide up-to-the-minute detail on conditions, resort access, events and activities.
