Premier Daniel Andrews and Member for Macedon Mary-Anne Thomas today joined students, teachers and parents to view plans for a complete rebuild of Kyneton Primary School.
The $8 million funding, secured in the 2015-16 Victorian Budget, will finally give Kyneton Primary students the modern facilities they badly need in a brand new school next to Kyneton Secondary College.
The Andrews Labor Government is also investing $5 million in a trades hub at the Secondary College, to form an education precinct which will ensure the community has world class facilities on their doorstep.
The Budget invested close to $4 billion in Victoria’s education and skills and represented the single biggest boost to education funding in Victoria’s history.
It provides $325 million to renovate, refurbish or rebuild 67 schools – 21 in regional Victoria including Kyneton Primary School, Kyneton Secondary College and Castlemaine Secondary College.
