Hundreds of thousands of tennis fans will be flocking to Melbourne to see the world’s best tennis players in action, with tickets going on sale today for the Australian Open 2025 – proudly supported by the Allan Labor Government.

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Major Events Steve Dimopoulos today joined Tennis Australia CEO Craig Tiley to announce that tickets are now available for purchase.

The 2024 Australian Open smashed records with more than a million fans across three weeks coming to Melbourne’s iconic sport and entertainment precinct. The 2025 Australian Open promises to be bigger and better with fans set to see the world’s best players hit the courts across 15-days of action-packed competition.

Off the court, there will be entertainment and activities for fans of all ages, with the Melbourne Park precinct putting on a range of exciting options including AO Live with acts from around the world, as well as great food and drink venues in and around Garden Square and Grand Slam Oval.

This year’s event generated more than $533 million in economic benefits for the state, taking the total benefit to more than $3.1 billion for Victoria over the past decade.

More than 620,000 hotel nights were booked in Victorian hotels during the 2024 tournament – smashing the previous record by nearly 50,000 people. In 2024 the average daily spend was also the highest on record at $308 per person.

The Labor Government has secured the Australian Open in Melbourne until 2046 and invested almost $1 billion in the Melbourne Park Redevelopment – ensuring the iconic international event and world-class precinct can continue to draw hundreds of thousands of visitors to Victoria every year.

The Australian Open will run from Monday 6 January to Sunday 26 January 2025, with the main draw beginning Sunday 12 January 2025. For more information and tickets, go to ausopen.com.
