Drivers across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs will now be able to access VicRoads services at a brand-new centre in Ringwood, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Minister for Roads and Road Safety Ben Carroll today announced a new VicRoads Testing and Inspection Centre has opened on Heatherdale Road – marking the first step in bringing modern and state-of-the-art VicRoads Registration and Licensing Services to the area.
The new centre provides all licence testing services, both computer-based and drive tests, as well as vehicle inspection services and long vehicle testing for cars towing trailers or caravans.
It will cater to more than 1,000 appointments per week, including 600 license tests – and has more than 50 car spaces for customers, as well as a canopy dedicated to vehicle testing.
Testing and inspection services are available by appointment only and can be booked now through the VicRoads website.
The new centre is located close to public transport options, including Heatherdale train station and the bus interchange, making it easily accessible for commuters. A new Ringwood Customer Hub is set to open nearby in mid-2022.
The temporary Ringwood Licence Testing Centre along Warrandyte Road will remain open for license testing until mid-June.
