The Napthine Government will support the establishment of a mattress recycling facility at the Ballarat transfer station, Minister for Environment and Climate Change Ryan Smith has announced.

Local community groups in Macedon have received more than $207,000 from the Napthine Government to carry out important projects that will enhance and protect the environment.

Local non-for profit business Ballarat Regional Industries has received $50,000 in funding from the Napthine Government to boost employment in Ballarat and help keep valuable resources out of landfill.

Minister for Environment and Climate Change Ryan Smith has announced a feasibility study into regional Victoria's first waste to energy facility.

The Napthine Government has invested $25,000 in new recycling facilities at Stocklands Wendouree shopping centre which is reducing operating costs and removing waste from landfill.

Two local sporting ovals and the Greenhill Reserve in Wallan are set to get an environmental makeover, thanks to more than $13,000 in funding from the Victorian Coalition Government.
